Sometimes called a Baby Watermelon, a native of Mexico and South America and introduced into Europe in the 17th Century. Best grown in a greenhouse or conservatory, but may be grown up a south facing wall. Plants make unusual climbers and the rounded, green striped fruit are ideal for pickling whole or sliced, or used fresh in salads. I grew three plants in a 16 inch hanging basket and the resulting fruit always cause a great deal of interest on my displays. 10 seed per Packet.
