Just sorting out the last few dishes to go on the stand.

A pyramid of onions. Not an easy thing to construct as the onions need to get smaller as the cone reduces in size at the top.

You need four sets of hands to tie all these Spring Onions together. The variety is Guardsman (Item 3122) and as the name implies it stands bolt upright.

There are two types of Sarpo potatoes here (blight resisitant varities) The centre ones were called 'Adam Blue' but have now been re named to 'Blue Danube' The pale pink variety around the outside edge is 'Una' a very early large sized potato.

Our ball of tomatoes take up to an hour to put together using Cocktail sticks. I estimate that we go through about two thousand cocktail sticks when we put together a large display.

The front of the display looks really well. The first onion on the front measured 22 inches in circumference.

Bonnie is a new potato on the market that's perfect for exhibition and whats more, it's great to eat as well. Very similar splash to Amour but the white is a much creamier colour.
